After years of experience in this field, one thing is certain: no two brains are alike, and each individual learns differently. You may be at a point where you simply can't understand what is going on with your child or how to help them. Maybe they've struggled with academics for a while, or maybe it's new and you're not sure why they're struggling.
Social-emotional and behavioral factors influence learning as well, and you may have noticed these areas affecting your child's mood, academic progress, or conduct in school and at home. A psychoeducational evaluation will examine all of the areas your child may be having difficulty with and give you clarity and guidance on how to support your child in feeling successful.
Psychoeducational assessment can reveal the way your child learns and offer recommendations on how to manage academic, social-emotional, and behavioral areas that seem to be a bit more challenging.
When appropriate and if criterion are met, we also provide a DSM-5-TR diagnosis with recommendations for home, school, and community to support the need for additional or continued support for your child's educational progress.
